And, oh, BTW, there’s a Hoosier connection.
The giant number sculptures that can be found all around the Indianapolis Museum of Art (now known as the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields) property were the work of Robert Indiana, who also created the
image, beloved from posters and postcards and coffee mugs and stamps and many other things.
Now one of the versions of the sculpture has been returned to its home in Philadelphia after two years, following some restoration work, including restoring Robert Indiana’s original color choices.
