National Toy Hall Of Fame 2020

It’s November. 2020 will be over soon (thank goodness!) And the The Strong National Museum of Play just inducted in some new toys into their Hall of Fame.

Earlier this year, they announced the 12 finalists, including: Bingo, Breyer Horses, Lite-Brite, Masters of the Universe, My Little Pony, Risk, Sorry!, Tamagotchi, and Yahtzee.

And the winners were: Baby Nancy, Jenga, and sidewalk chalk.

Baby Nancy was a black baby doll with natural hair from Shindana Toys in 1968

Sidewalk Chalk was picked because historians believe that some of the earliest humans played with chalk

Jenga is named after the Swahili word that means “to build.”

Maybe next year, Tamagotchi. Maybe next year.
