Ellie Goulding has unveiled her new single “Sixteen.”
Co-written by Ellie with Raye and FRED, “Sixteen” is a nostalgic slice of contemplative pop where Ellie reminisces about her youth as a rebellious teenager.
Ellie teased the new single on Instagram less than a day before its release. In addition to making the track available on Spotify, Ellie also released a lyric video on YouTube.
The artwork for “Sixteen” features a slew of Ellie’s friends, who she asked to send her an image of when they were 16. Included in the collage are snaps of Katy Perry and RAYE.
“Sixteen” will appear on Ellie’s fourth studio album and comes on the heels of her successful single “Close to Me” with Diplo and featuring Swae Lee.
Ellie also recently announced her involvement in Netflix’s new nature documentary series Our Planet with Sir David Attenborough.
