Bill Cosby Asks Female Reporter To Not Turn Handshake Into #MeToo Post

A bizarre new report about Bill Cosby has emerged. The 80-year-old disgraced comedian made a reference to a female reporter about the #MeToo movement, in what appears to be a joking attempt to avoid bad press, thereby all but guaranteeing it.

The odd showdown happened after a dinner at an Italian restaurant in Philadelphia with Cosby, a friend, his publicist and members of the media, who were invited to document the event.

  • A reporter says Cosby shook her hand and said: “Please don’t put me on #MeToo,” a reference to the social-media movement denouncing sexual assault. He told her, “I just shook your hand like a man.”
  • When asked about his April retrial on charges he drugged and molested a woman in 2004, he said: “We’re ready.” In June of last year, jurors deadlocked over the case and declared a mistrial.
  • Andrea Constand is one of dozens of women who have accused Cosby of assault, but in most of the cases, the statute of limitations has expired.
