Ringing in the New Year Memphis Style!

Many know when Mitchell and I do something it’s generally a family affair. This weekend we spent time with my family to ring in the New Year. We stopped in Nashville but really spent our time in Memphis. We originally went down to take my nephew to see Marvel Universe Live but we saw some other cool things while we were there. Graceland I’m not a huge Elvis Presley fan. When I say that I love his music but if there is something at the store with his face on it I don’t feel obligated to buy it. That being said going to Graceland has been a bucket list item of mine for a number of year. On the tour you are given an iPad as your tour guide, which is voiced by John Stamos. Southern Living offers these tips toward making the best Christmas cookies ever. • Always have two or three cookies sheets on hand when you are making cookies. Hot sheets will melt the dough. • Choose a cookie sheet that allows two inches of clearance all round it in the oven, which allows for good circulation and even baking. • Eggs should be at room temperature. If you forget to take them out of the refrigerator, place in warm water to speed up process. •Spray your measuring cup with cooking spray, which helps sticky ingredients come out easier. • Don’t overpack your flour.
