Hi!  I’m Todd, the midday guy. I’ve mentioned on occasion that I was a drummer in high school band.  In light of that, I want to point you to an article, brought to my attention by my pal John Joachim. I have to say that this is an impressive list of drummers, people I mostly hold with a great deal of respect – and bear in mind, not a list of drummers from ALL fields, but specifically ones that can carry a groove… MOSTLY. If you’re talking about drummers that can really put a rhythm behind singers, and make it groove, though, Al Jackson, Jr. is one that really SHOULD NOT be missed at all.  That’s why his image is at the top of this page, because he sure didn’t make it into this list.
